Details of the venues for the next few Wednesday night runs are below. All welcome, and ask around if you don't know where a venue is. Bring off road shoes and a suitable torch !!

Several Harriers’ took part in Sunday’s Four Villages Half Marathon.  The event is based at Helsby in West Cheshire and the course begins in the village before travelling along mainly quiet roads and taking in the villages of Dunham on the Hill, Mouldsworth and Manley before heading back to Helsby for the finish.  It is mainly flat but has a few undulations.  Over 1600 runners completed the distance.

Please note the following list which is the schedule for the Macclesfield Harriers Road Race Championship for 2012.

Dates and times are shown where known at this stage. Any race denoted with the symbol ‘GP’ signifies it has also been designated as a Cheshire Road Race Grand Prix race for 2012. The only Cheshire GP race that is not a Club Championship road race is the Club’s own Macclesfield Half Marathon.

Apart from the Macclesfield Half Marathon, any of the races will also be a ‘counter’ for the inaugural ‘Overall’ Club Championship Series which will include events from the fell, track, cross country and road sections of the Club (details to be announced soon).

Please note that whilst entries' are officially closed for the race which takes place on 25th March, Cheshire Club members' may, for a limited period only, still enter.

For any Harriers' who have not already entered, to do so, please access the link here, then from there, go to the Wilmslow Half-Marathon Race page and send off an e-mail via the link which appears half-way down the Half-Marathon page.   For anyone wishing to enter, they should just explain that they are a Harriers' member and should quote their own England Athletics registration number on any correspondence they produce.

The Races for the 2012 Fell Champs have now been published (subject to any amendments from feedback etc).

This year we are having a concerted effort to be represented in the English Champs with a good chance of some excellent results. The women's team looks especially strong this year and I would like to invite anyone who has not previously considered representing the club in these champs before, to give it some thought: your participation will be much appreciated!

Don't forget the Orienteering this Wednesday, 6:40 meet for 7pm start from the Vale, Bollington, all welcome, and if you want to run as a pair we'll find you a partner.

After which is the Boxing Day handicap on 26th Dac from the St Dunstans.
